"GT5 was never meant to be a launch tittle. Yamauchi just said he hoped to finish it by 2007 but made no promises."
So it only took 3 years longer than his original estimates. If only we had some english word that meant to do something later than planned or scheduled... I don't know what that word might be though.
neither is the PS3 version o.O
@"I hate using netflix on my xbox or even watching movies on it because I don't want it to over heat"
dude unless you are in a game there is only 1 core in operation and the disk drive isn't on. The only way it would overheat at that point is if you started it on fire.
10 years ago I probably would have agreed with him, but western games these days are great looking in almost every way. In fact I think there is greater variety in the style of western games than there is in the style of eastern games these days.
If he used his name or anyone else's name they'd be in deep shit with the higher ups. Not surprised he doesn't use his name.
they're still ahead by close to 6 million. The year lead they were only up around 7-8 million. Hardly irreparably damaged.
@"The problem is that Square was making four games at once. That's just stupid. They should have put all of their effort into a single game (two max)."
I dunno if that's the exact problem. Square is a lot bigger than I think you think it is. Square is actually working on between 10-20 games (if not more) at any given time.
I think they just over-estimated the popularity of a final fantasy MMO and released a product that was depending on the ...
Any car can drive on anything, but that doesn't mean it's smart. The mclaren would have so much damage after that :(
Not to mention the driver's spine... :/
Androids already passed iPhones in the US. Windows mobile isn't hurting (it has 11% of the market with only one WP7 phone out), and blackberry is going downwards with android and Iphone competing. I have my eyes on new Androids, but I'd take a WP7 over a blackberry any day.
The problem I have with blackberrys(happy?) is that their OS is HORRIBLE. It takes my phone 10 minutes to start, doesn't give me easy access to important features (even restarting it is very di...
Since when did it matter if a headline was how people speak or not? It's still correct. All the 1.X comments up there ^ make me feel bad for the state of education in the world.
edit: The ones down VVV there too.
@"here big games are good for the company in question, but they are not really needed to make the industry grow."
false. Creativity helps too, but big games allow for good companies to expand and creates a lot of buzz for games as a whole. Halo moved a lot of xbox 360s into homes, and that will benefit all xbox developers in the long run with a larger market. This is true of all system sellers on any system.
Not knocking creativity, but you can'...
blackberries suck.
and WP7 is more about connecting your PC experience to your phone experience. There's going to be some stuff between xbox and WP7, but the connectivity is a lot more about the user's PC than anything.
The iPhone and Android phones are just as much a games console as the PC.
In a couple years smartphones are going to be in everyone's pockets. The Iphone has almost as many phones as the nintendo DS and it's been out 2 years shorter, and android phones have more sales than iPhone and they've been out even shorter than that.
You can say what you want about smartphones, but anyone in the industry knows it's the fastest growing market for games. ...
did you read the article? I don't think any of these additions would be helped by a browser.
@"And if they dont then just come right out and say, listen hardcore, Kinect is not for you, and never will be, that not what we're going for."
they have... multiple times.
@Eamon
publicly traded companies have to be held accountable for their actions to their shareholders. You start risking the bottom line, and you'll find your services are no longer necessary.
Also, in a company that size even if standards are bad, it ends up making things worse not to follow them.
I don't agree that they charge for it, but there's more than just morals and money in the mix.
I bought castle crashers when it came out. Is it fair that the PS3 version is getting more content that I can't even get with DLC? I'd have to rebuy the game to get the extra content.
Stop QQing over a game you weren't going to buy anyway.
Which xbox games so far have done that?
I'm guessing you're going to say ODST, but all of it's online content was available as DLC except firefight, which was new to the franchise with ODST and had no reason to be DLC.
@dead eye: no it wasn't. A year ago it was just as PS3 biased. They said the same thing a year ago (that the 360 fans were just as bad before).
People said before the PS3 launched it was really pro 360, but the PS3 launched like 3 months after this site came into existence, so people have been reaping for 4 years what was sown for 3 months.
If you want to see how biased the site is, go into each section and just tally the number of pro PS3 and pro 360 com...
too human didn't take 5-10 years. There was another game called "Too Human" that was like Deus Ex that was canceled 10 years ago. The Too Human that was released was only in development for 3 years.
